Older and wiser.

I love summer USA TV.
Specifially White Collar and Suits (and Covert Affairs).
You know what I like about Suits (besides super attractive Macht, duh)?

It's a show about mentoring.
Where has mentoring gone?
There's a generation of people who are searching for direction and advice and an example of how to transition into adulthood (because honestly for the most part not many people my age know how to work hard) and no one is coming alongside them.

And back to lighthearted topics!

Ape Caves.

My Mom and I went last October and this weekend we went back, with 18 other people! I've taken no pictures this summer (not even at summer camp- crazy right?), but I snapped a couple hiking in the pitch black.

I love summertime.

I forgot my trainers but luckily my moccasins are up for anything! Not one slip.

Mama and me.

This is madness! Birthday edition.

moccs, to replace my rather worn pair.

I'm so over being embarrassed by royal wedding love.

love it.

Design mom posted this jumbo pillow beanbag and I realized... I could make that! What a glorious addition to my house.
Maybe to someone's house. We have a million chairs.

Time after sometimes..

A few, unrelated things.

Counseled at camp last week. Great fun.
I think that camp is an excellent example of the influence friends can have on a person's life. Being good, honorable, focused, comes much easier at camp. And I know that part of that is the distractions of life being held at bay to some extent, but lots of it is because you are held accountable, and you are encouraged and loved. Who you invest in matters. It's silly because I said that to at least ten campers and I'm still investing in people that aren't willing to engage with me. So maybe it's time to let them go yeah? It could get lonely for a bit.
Anyways, off the soapbox!

Ran the warrior run, and signed up for the hell run.

Super cute bridal shower... or birthday! I love birthdays.

Heard this at camp.
I love her, I'm willing to listen to almost any cover (but when that cover is impeccable well...).

reading.

You know what would look good with my lovely passing exams present?

RN.

Finally.
Finally finally.

I am going to get a giant coffee, return a library book, and buy some thread to make friendship bracelets.

more freha...

What a nice greeting from H&M yesterday as I came up the escalator!
I'm going off for a long walk and hopefully some french fries. Sounds excellent right?

5.7.11

Waterfront dinner.

I wish I had thought to grab my camera tonight, but it stayed nestled in my purse between junk and my journal. We grabbed dinner with dear friends (bruschetta) and lingered until it was cold.

On the water with a mountain view. Could any place be more beautiful? I don't think so.
And I bought sparkly pink nail polish. SPARKLY. There's not really a description good enough for the blinding glare from my nails. Barbie would be proud.

Oh, and took exams.
It made the rest of the day so much better at least!
Unless we wrecked my car I was bound to get more happy.

Mister and I listened to this song probably ten times- and I mean I put it on repeat while he was driving in traffic. He's a good sport, it's not his favorite (I think this is the best Avett song by a mile).

Baaaa!

I already have a birthday wish-list, because I am that kind of person.
A sheepskin throw is so on it.

shag.

I have the best hairstylist.
I took her these two photos and said, "I want her hair, and his attitude."

So happy.
Especially when she products me up to make it look more dirty... a haircut that looks better the longer it sits. It's Christmas in the Savannah household!

(Freha Beha is a yes please! in my book!)
