adios camera!

I'm selling my lovely, reliable, HEAVY camera.
via my friendly friend Jam. As in PB&Jam (which is what I call him when he's not cross with me). And then I'm getting a new, lighter (as in 2 AA's not 4 AA's) one for summer and Europe and beyond!
In the meantime I've been snapping picture with my phone which does not work as well! But is almost nicer because things look as unposed as possible. This. Is. Real. Life.

Jam and Mister. Happy together.

So funny... Jam reminds everyone of Russell. From up. Which makes me smile.
And heres the new camera that is coming after the old one!

28.3.11

Timbers!!

I am a traitor (kind of).
Despite being from Seattle, I lived in Portland when I truly fell in love with soccer, in a consuming, favorite sport way. So the Timbers are naturally mine. And they are finishing off their billboard series with fan voted billboards based off the portrait days they had (mister and I moaned all through the days we were stuck here instead).
These are my favorites:

Go here and vote for your favorite Timber! (Update: the winners.. and two of my favorites were chosen!)
I'm so pumped to get home!

26.3.11

planetarium... loosely.

My childhood was filled with Star Wars.
Even now on a bad day I'll curl up with one and sink into the familiar dialogue and characters.

A planetarium that comes with the Star Wars universe and our universe! I am entranced.
And this sleeping bag is just funny (apparently the inside even has intestines).

24.3.11

GIFFS.

I am definitely a gift giver... it's my inclination to always give people presents.
I like knowing someone enough to know what they would like!
Found two fun things for spring today:

A birthday in a box! I already have one half made up for a certain someone (with a May birthday who will live entirely too far away for my taste)!

this darling print for my dad, who loves pigs. Also bacon. Father's Day is too far away when I'm sitting on this!

23.3.11

lovely lady [friends]/ check it out

I planned a trip to get my nails done for graduation with a friend today. When I get busy and overwhelmed and don't see anyone not dressed in scrubs I forget how good having girlfriends is. And it is great (not the forgetting part, the friends part)!

It was a breath of fresh air today: laughing a lot, deciding to get feather extensions (yes. so happening.), and deciding to get feather extensions (oh, did I say that already?).

(we spent the whole summer- 9 weeks- in a junk camry driving all over the west)

another person who loves girfriends!
and another!

22.3.11

red hair in morning/ lets go exploring!

Really though?
People magazine has me enamored with these fiery redheads.
I think though that this below subdued red might be where I start out. For summer.
And then I'll get a drastic cut in Europe... some eurotrash haircut as a memento to the month.

21.3.11

graduation plans: sparkles!

probably not buying a new dress.
will not buy new shoes.

SUPER FUN FRENCH TIPS? ABSOLUTELY I WILL!

20.3.11

oh oh oh oh oh.

perfection.
i cannot love a female more than lissie right now.

19.3.11

CRAFTS.

when i get home my room is undergoing a metamorphosis.
and number one giant change: furniture!

the desk, dresser, wardrobe are out!
(and a side note- why were they in my room anyway? i never used them. silly me.)

the bookcase
craft corner are in!

and then ill have room to buy this twine:

red pandas, success!

saw the red pandas play, and get fed yesterday at the zoo.
success!

(and the must-have picture of los tigres)

13.3.11

sunday lazyday.

worked today (flipped my very first omelet).
then some friends came over and played mario cart... best game ever!
spent some time with cuddle monster bailey.

id say the first day of spring break was highly successful.

11.3.11

nerd crush.

its almost spring break... (like, 5 hours until spring break).
i have a giant test to conquer first but right now the only thing making me smile (because spring break just means more work) is alan tudyk.
so incredibly nerdy but hey, with a friendly face the world is your oyster.

9.3.11

pockets.

for some reason as i was thinking about the logistics of moving to seattle and mister moving to sacramento i remembered this article i read in vogue by cate blanchett where she talks about her relationship with her husband. "we do live in each other's pockets a bit," blanchett admits, "but that feels natural. it doesn't feel cramped in there at all."

i can relate.
we seem to be the couple that naturally sit next to each other at lunch and are touching almost always, a physically reminder that the other is present. it doesnt help that were best friends either... secret telling and knowing glances go up by x2.

ah well. an incentive for a tiny house.

8.3.11

the beauty of motion.

im finding a longterm passion for the motion of ballet.
the motion of ballet and the ocean.

i think this might be a lifelong affair.

6.3.11

this is the latest ive stayed up in a while... im definitely the early bird (midnight is CRAZY)!
but i just finished my last homework assignment due before spring break so i have no worries except dysrhythmias. if you want to come over and discuss p waves im ready!
not tonight.
tonight is for sleep.
tomorrow is for p waves.

you know where p waves happen?
in the heart.
ork posters makes awesome prints of cities ( like seattle and portland and frisco) but im enamored with this adorable heart print. i like both colors, so i post both colors. get over it.

3.3.11

welcome spring!

guess whos coming to my spring party?

yep.
starting with the notecards to spread love all summer.

2.3.11

slouchy bag for summer and travels.

1,2

except not so slouchy.
i am incapable of buying new purses!
i need one for our trip overseas and i might as well add summer to that. to break it in of course? and of course there are no urban outfitters here.. im sure if i could see these beauties id have no trouble deciding (lie).
seattle come back to me.

1.3.11

snow.

just found these pictures from s snow in portland... i woke up in the middle of the night and it was snowing! and mister was still up so we strolled through the unblemished snow.

its 70 degrees today but yesterday it was 20. my body hasnt caught up.
