my oldest friend.

we grew up together...our names start with the same letter and our church and even OUR PARENTS would call us the wrong thing. which is silly because we dont look alike... but when were goofing off (getting in trouble) i guess its easy to get us mixed up.

my weeks are mixed up since i work all day saturday-tuesday... so its a four day weekend!

its sad that i think of a 7+ hour day of work the weekend.

anyway, this weekend i watched daybreakers and loved the 50's hints and the ethical grappling.

and i made a cowl for my tiny cousin for when i see her next week!

and i started misters bowtie.

and did my laundry.

and made granola.

OH EM GEE- i went to uptown and made out like a bandit.

anyway, heres some things i discovered this morning..

finger puppet. im thinking about taking him to europe/ on all my travels...

a tshirt dress that i will wear to class every day until i graduate.

its fitting that he died during the off season... i think he would be glad.

his voice is one of my cherished childhood memories and he will be missed.

i found this online (modcloth maybe? i cant remember) and figured i could make that sucker with a good long movie and some scrap yarn!

operation petticoat went into the dvd player and out came this headband!

pardon the pajamas and the sleepy eyes... i realized i didnt have a picture and was still in bed (and too lazy to get out of bed)!

This weekend when I got home from camp and emptied my backpack (my perfect backpack) of the little that was in it:

- pjs

-toothbrush and toothpaste

- deoderant

- bible and chapstick

-pillow (stuffed in so i didnt have to carry it)

and i went on a vicious slash of my closet.

one giant bag of things for goodwill!

goodwill and i have a very give and take relationship... in the end i think we balance each other out.

i love shopping. conversely, and equally, i love living sparsely.

i miss living out of a suitcase!

having four shirts, a pair of jeans, and a dress makes mornings easy... im trying to find the balance.

fewer, but nicer pieces?

i wore this outfit every single day of spring break on the east coast.

and it was great.

graduation-

im so ready to be out of school!

i know life gets harder when you graduate and have to pay your own insurance... but i want to hang prints on my walls and have a couch that is actually comfortable (and a mattress thats not vinyl)!

i want to own my weekends.

i want a glass jar for all my yarn scraps.

i want a giant wall calendar filled with things that arent tests and clinicals and work.

i want a coat rack.

i want my cedar chest from home at the bottom of my bed.

i want to sleep and not feel guilty about it.
